Sat on a rebuilt lt230 1:12 the brakes are up to the task
I’ve fitted anti roll bars and new props
I’ll deal with the diffs if they fail but I think they should be up to the job.
I’m not planning any off road work
A muddy field will be the worst...
I think you've misread somewhere lol.
Yesterday.. or was it day before.. engine war fully hot with no system pressure.. after messing with the cap there was "some" pressure, but not as much as i would have expected for a hot engine. So i think...
If it's just been driven there will be some pressure my mate. If it's cold there shouldn't be. The more modern systems are more efficient as these engines run even hotter for the emissions so they had to up the game for the cooling systems. 👍

Newspaper test - roll up a newspaper and slowly insert into the viscous fan. When cold it should stop the fan turning but as engine warms it should get more resistance and try to shred the newspaper. (Free when cold - locked when hot)

Yep Turns out the new hose was not reinforced, so it expanded then contracted every time. This caused a small hole to get bigger and bigger until it ended in a slit about 21/2 inches long and hence the wheezy noise
Always nice when a fix goes to plan. That happened to me, once! It was about 10 years ago, the windscreen washer stopped working.. i topped up the fluid and it started working again!! 🥳
No power going up hills and slopes and a whooshing noise coming from turbo. Outlet hose had split. New hose fitted and full boost now back. :vb-bouncy2: 👍 👍
