Cheers guys! Thanks for the input, turned out it where indeed the engine mounts that took a hit with all the roads here (unfortunately not on stock). CV joints checked and regreased. So good to continue at least with some vibrations :)
Cocktails...
I was hoping indeed some bearings. The good news is that in Serrekunda (capital) city, I found a guy from the UK who runs a Land Rover garage. A safe haven for now haha.
They are checking the CV joints, cleaning them etc. Will have the car on...
So the working assumption is ‘drivetrain’ issue?
I’d start with the obvious - any loose bearings / mounts on the prop or rear diff?
If the CV joint was fubar, it would normally be noisy when making a full-lock turn left or right.
You could try removing the prop and see what difference it makes.
Check the tyres, make sure they are all at the same PSI and see if there is any uneven wear.
Hi all!
As some of you might know I’m taking my freelander to Africa, which so far brought me to Gambia. So far so good, except that Larry is starting to show some difficulties for which I am seeking advice. I am trying to be as precise as...

Hi,
Used to search but can't fully figure out similar issue.
Did some work on the back door before, and also had the battery disconnected during the winter to avoid draining. Never paid attention to it and the window always was working fine...
Frontscreen? Doesn't have.
Perhaps a way I can look it up via the VIN?
Want to avoid ending up dead on the road, because I brought the wrong alternator haha
Hi there,
I am finalizing the prepping for our overlanding trip. Besides the standard tools and fluids, I am also considering to bring some parts.
But I am note able to define fully what alternator I would need for my car? It's a Freelander 1...
