Thanks for the replies guys I'll check for battery drain and also check that filter seal today. Yes the pump definitely gives a whine now and I dont seem to remember hearing it so loud before? Maybe air is creeping back down the line when it sits for a while.

Hello. Well I finally bought a defender after 3 freelanders! Its quite a rough and ready driving experience but i'm getting used to it and looking forward to some bad winter weather! ha ha So.….. after buying the car a few months ago I decided to give it some TLC whilst it was warm and sunny...
