there a single wire in the back of the alternator . it goes to the rev counter. just make sure it is not loose or bad contact. This will solv ethe problem

look at the back of the alternator . there is a single wire for the revs.it may be loose. just fix it.

Hi Dave, Seems I found a 2nd father. As I am at the office know i just went out to parking lot and had a look at this wire at the back of the alternator. I fact it was like a bit loose. I refitted it and started the engine and then drove for a while.The Rev looks fine now ,very steady...
