Bad luck.
Somehow mere execution of those who stole it is far to quick and easy. A slower and more painful punishment should go on the statute books!!

Not quite on topic but I explained to my daughter (a speed freak) that she wouldn't like my Defender since it did 0 to 60 in two days so I hadn't put her on the insurance!

Hi
Got an odd one with wipers on my 90. Intermittent works OK and so does the first on position (one up from off), but if I push the lever to two up from the off position (which I assume means I should get double speed wipe for torrential rain) then the wiper slowly drags itself half way then...

Thanks guys. I have now tracked down a couple of places in Edinburgh that may be able to help. If they cannot then I will come back.
Hopefully it will leave me at least on arm and one leg once done!
Best wishes

Hi Discomania
THanks for info. I know front outriggers need done since my guy mentioned this specifically. Have also checked and new seem to be relatively easy to get. He has also apparently marked areas on chassis (with Tippex since he didn't have a chalk!) but I have not seen marks yet.
I will...

Hi
Should prob change my name to "one born every minute" but bought a 1991 Defender 90 and it transpires chassis needs quite a bit of welding.
Does anyone know someone reliable who could do this anywhere near Edinburgh?
I tried the local independent land rover garage Whites Auto Services in...

Thanks Grunt
That is just what I was wanting to know.
I confess I would not have thought of chocking the diagonal if only one wheel up! I would have gone for the one on the same side. Dare one ask why the diagonal?
Great help.
Best wishes

Thanks

Hi
Sorry, again it is possibly an obvious Q. Read that before jacking you should put diff lock on and chock wheels.
I have just bought a pair of Wolf chocks since there were none with the LR. The pair will allow me to chock one wheel forward and back.
If I am right then this should be sufficient...

Thanks I will try that.
From what I can see that is the left hand pipe on the radiator as I look at it with the nut that needs a 14" screwdriver. Do all you guys have such screwdrivers as standard or is there another way?
Best wishes

Hi
Sorry if this is a klutz Q but I have just got Defender 90, 200Tdi. Today I managed to successfully do complete change engine oil and filter and planned to drain cooling system so I know age and strength of anti-freeze.
I cannot work out how to drain the radiator!
Looking from the top towards...
