1972 Series 3 21/4 D. Full ground up rebuild. Galvanized Chassis painted to hide the new gleaming bits. Delighted with result. Cheque book devastated.

See previous thread. This is the Varta F18 in situ. Fits in battery box with no cutting but no room to spare. Box says it is 317mmx175mmx175mm.

In recent cold (scottish) weather the TD4 has been hard to start. Just fitted a Varta 110 F18 silver. 315mmx175mmx175mm. A bit of a tight fit as 37mm longer than standard 096 which is 278mmx175mmx175mm, but it does sit into battery tray. The difference in starting is unbelievable. 5 yr warranty...

Just fitted 205/80 16 Michelin Latitude Cross and very happy. I wanted a bigger sidewall with a mud grabber and a protector rim that was also going to be quiet on road. I had looked at Avon, Uniroyal and Good Year all of which were All Terrain and the concern was noise. The 205/80 has loads...
