    I would hopre the d2 v8 was more than 150bhp. D3 is the tdv6, very first d3 came out on 54 plate.

    Neither, as td5 is 136bhp and tdv6 is 189bhp. TD5 is cheaper, tdv6 March 2006 onwards is 700 quid.

    Series 3 upside down fuel sender??

    Iirc the older s2 had an odd fuel sender. maybe you have one of them fitted? Can the arm be fitted the other way on its pivot point, ie move the float?

    Two old tractors I have just serviced took 15/30, I said are you sure? seems awfully thin for an old clunker, from what I could gather same oil was in engine and rear end and hydraulics.

    My old L reg 1993 200 had them, I know for certain as next owner had one go causing all sorts of grief, took his auto electrician hrs to suss what was wrong!

    Big difference on maintance costs between freelander and d3. I have managed 9 yrs looking after my d3 on the driveway.

    Willl never be fast from a standstill no matter what you do. Td5 auto is/was pretty slow to be polite.

    Starter/alternator/all bulbs/posibly some gauges, unless you have to I cannot see why you would? 24v a127 alternaotrs are cheap enough.

    I am pretty certain you are correct regarding the alternator not being under if it does not need to be, I.e. the battery is charged
