Yeah I'm hoping but this is the IRD oil I removed and the drain plug for the IRD. Theres clearly a lot of metallic particulates and it's a big worry

Thanks Yodaman that's really helpful. I am already in the mindset that you make the best of a bad situation. Already I had planned a lot for my Larry. Including a new paint job.....That's why the thread is called Codename Snake :P
I'v done the prop and VCU removal for now and boy is Larry...

Already have wire brushes, waxoil and tetraseal but I'm not getting to sealing anything until all the work is done. Might be a bit counter productive haha.
The discs are all good as are the pads. The disc guards are in a bad way but the whirring is so loud at 30mph that I suspect it's...

Crankcase is very clean other than some oil that has spilled. Under further inspection it looks to be new and just not cleaned up. The crankcase has some quick steel putty on it but there's no apparent leaks from that area. It's definitely lower down and around the head gasket area. As luck...

We've done it!!!
I found that there are three contacts on the battery terminal. The rear terminal looked fine on the face of things but when turning it over to look at the buttons I found a hairline crack. Re-soldered it and it's now working again
Larry is saved!

Key will not go in the drivers door , it's like it's glued shut. It goes in and turns in Boot door but clearly the lock is broken as it doesn't do anything. I've tried holding the key in the turned position in hopes the window would roll down but no joy :'(

I didn't get another one it's a recent purchase. Just one key and fob
-
Thanks for the picture but I've tried it already with no success. As above, Nothing has worked. I'm at a complete loss now. Re-soldering the battery holder terminals didn't help
I'm very sad

Mine looks fine. Just re-soldering it now.

Replaces with Duracell one and now the key fob isn't working at all. Replaced the original battery and nothing, car door lock seems to be broken so I'm now locked out of the car and can't get in. I've tried everything and it's now become majorly frustrating. Only thing I can think of doing is...
