Think you'd be surprised what a turbine paint sprayer and the proper automotive paint would come to. Much more durable.. no harder than paint brush.. If you're sayin its gunna get bashed.. why bother anyway? Well thats up to you. I could tell ya what to use to put automotive paint on it...

30kph is probably about where it would be beginning to be ok to downshift. I know if I try it much more than that in my syncro gear box it wants to complain about it. But its a mish mash of 2a and III parts in a 2a box.

yes.. I inadvertently left the oil fill cap off a toyota OHC engine.. oil everywhere.. I took the top off this one.. and it just dribbles nicely... Helps that its upright and not in a V format. Can idle it with the top cover open barely spilling a drop. My sending unit is sending good info...

SO.. I was test driving my rover after a month or 2 of not moving.. I get around the block half way and lose oil pressure.. By the time I can knock on the gauge to see what's wrong.. it starts coming back. Get around the block again... It does it again, in the same place (crest of a hill)...

Explain to me how a land rover engine is less like a lawnmower than a modern vehicle engine? ;) The gear boxes in all series trucks are weaker than most that went into other vehicles in the area. Need only look at the aluminum case to derive that. And, yea.. Its about the most expensive...
