Quick update, measured from neg terminal on battery to any point on the engine and chassis was open circuit. This main earth strap has rotten out, managed to get to it after battling with the wheel arch liner, what a **** place to attach an earth strap

Yes sorry, it’s a 59 plate Discovery 4 GS, with no stop start/ auxiliary battery.

Can anyone recommend a mobile technician in North London or Hertfordshire, I think the starter motor needs replacing, looks like a bastard of a job to do yourself, with limited experience. Battery voltage is great and checked starter motor relay, is there anything else I could possibly look at...
