Heyup chaps! The bolt that holdd the battery on via the battery clamp thinks its hilarious to just spin and spin without coming off.
What's on the other side of that? I can't get to it due to the plastic shielding.
I currently have a dead battery, ordered a new one thinking I was clever at...

Morning Chaps
I want to discretely mount a Transcend DrivePro 200 in the area behind the rear view mirror...
What's the best way of getting power up there? Route a cable around the edge of the windscreen?
I was wondering if its possible to get power from the lights console perhaps?
These...

Yeah, im pretty sure it must be the aircon? coolant would be hot or warm at least... all the fluids that could possibly leak would either be warm/hot or a funny colour or smell in some way!

Noticed spots of water leading from the car after parking it on the drive... I appear to be leaking clear cold orderless water... driven maybe 20 miles, had the aircon on though...
Looked under the engine and I have a drip (like a dripping tap) from behind the passenger wheel.
I made a quick...

Yes, I now see that you indeed correct. However, I was following the instructions in section 4B-8 to get to the mass airflow sensor.
This is abriviated to "Remove the oil filler cap, unscrew the five Allen screws" with no picture... Ho hum... Anyhoo AA mans on his way, lets see what he...

Gah! I can't even get the cover off to get to the MAF sensor. Removed all bolts and breather pipes and oil filler cap... Feels like its held on somehow around the back? Can't see or feel any clips?
Totally stumped, now rained and snowed(!?) off so have reasembled and given in for the...

I had all filters changed at 98k(ish) with second major service (on approx 114k miles now). I'm guessing the pump is as old as the car as I don't have any details of it ever being replaced.
I've just limped to homebase and back to get a socket set... couldn't do more than about 8 mph... I...

Thanks, just tried getting the cover off the engine only to realise theres two hex nuts on there too... Just had to rummage in the garage and found a small fisher price socket set that should do the job.
In the meantime, I've taken a 1 minute video showing MAF readouts against RPM... This code...

Hmmmmm code reader is no use, not showing any pending or stored codes.
We had this problem a few months back where the right hand engine light was on with the engine not starting, called the AA guy out and it started first time and has done ever since... He seemed to think it could have been...
