    Stealership deposit ripoff

Might be wrong here, but those sound like Ts & Cs for the purchase of a vehicle/parts, and you never contracted to buy anything, so how can he say you haven't picked it up within 14 days and your deposit isn't refundable? I think I would tell him to shove his Ts & Cs up his exhaust manifold...

    Heard this before??

For all the other benefits really. Fun to drive, practical, durable, 'go-anywhere' capabilities. I'll be doing the basics myself and hopefully learning as I go along, but for the time being time will be limited

    Heard this before??

I have just been in a similar position to this, on an identical budget and ended up going for a 90 TD5 because: 1) I will be using it for a daily drive as well as for playing and the 90 offered the best of both worlds in my eyes. 2) 110's seemed like rocking horse dung to come by, especially...

    Eyebrow paint.

It was an educated guess (still in the process of buying my first landy). I've seen it used to black out quite a few things (albeit on slightly more porous surfaces). But I would bow to Pos' superior experience as he seems to have tried it.

    what gets your goat

I cant stand blogs and text-ins on TV and radio..text-ins are everywhere these days and it annoys the hell out of me that the audience have to make the show. Plus half the stuff you have to text in about (especially on radio) is utter dross  And the stuff in blogs is pretty dire too -...

Have pity - help a newbie please!

Cheers fella I'll have a proper look at both over the next few weeks and make a decision, but a station wagon looks favourite at the moment. Then hopefully tinted rear windows and maybe cages for security/strapping bikes to. Think I'll avoid the stickers though, as while it looks cool I dont...

Have pity - help a newbie please!

Thanks for that Pos, One thought was to buy either a station wagon or a hardtop, and either way have only two individual seats in the rear, so that I can fit bikes in between without having to remove wheels (sadly they're 20mm bolt through and not QR). Is there enough space to do this or am I...

Have pity - help a newbie please!

I agree, I think the station wagon looks better but the hardtop looks like it's going to be more practical - I'll have three or four bikes at a time, so perhaps a bench seat for the other two riders? (It's not likely to be for long distances and mainly on forest fire roads). Ideally I'd like...

Have pity - help a newbie please!

Cheers fellas, the forum is certainly proving friendly and useful so far! I think it's going to be a 110 - I have a mate with a 90 and it's easier to get the bikes into my Clio than his landy, so the extra space is definitely needed. Price and condition wise, is there usually any reason to go...

Have pity - help a newbie please!

Thanks mate, that confirms what I thought. Is it much of a job to fit single rear seats? Could I simply bolt them to the floor or would I need to put them on rails first? And what would I have to do re. seatbelts?

Have pity - help a newbie please!

Hi all First post on the forum, although have been lurking for a while. I'll soon have enough to buy my first landy, and will be going for a 300tdi of some sort. I cant decide which body style to go for however. I'll be the using the vehicle as a daily drive (albeit not very far during the...
