Apologies - I thought '96, disco 1, 300 tdi, manual - was introducing myself but, hay-ho, each to their own. I think the rubber bush is important because it centers the shaft on the diff but they certainly haven't made it easy (possible) to get the old one out. I wouldn't have even known it...

'96 disco 1, 300tdi, manual. Just replaced the rubber coupling on the rear drive shaft but couldn't figure out how to get the steel and rubber bush out of the center of the drive shaft. Any tips? Thanks Laurie
