I just replaced the battery on my 06 Freelander due to it going flat a few times after sitting with radio on.

Just an update. ( Months later)
I bought a second hand pump and replaced it myself using the special tool.
Bought on eBay and re sold. Was a god step by step video in YouTube to follow.
Not a job for you if you do not have the tools or skills. But very doable.

It's a much heavier grinding than that however. I drive 60 miles round trip yesterday, the brakes didn't make a sound for most of the trip but during 5he slow braking areas the grinding returned.

My brakes are doing the same. We bought the car a month ago and it had new pads and discs. Iv checked them and they all look fine. I will check the sided thing out.
