Hi All Put in the new injectors, still have to get them coded in but still white smoke coming out of the exhaust. Still have to change the oil that has diesel in it, that would make the discovery smoky? Ordered up the nanocom to sort the injector codes but starting to get worried it’s a cracked...

    White smoke

Hi again for the help. If I got one around £600 would you know any that would be good for the job. If I put all the injectors in, when the Discovery start and can I drive it until I get the dIag scan tool. Thinking if I take it to a garage it’s going to cost me around 400+ to get it done so...

    White smoke

Thanks for the reply Sierrafery. Does it matter if I no longer know which is one injector or five as the person rebuilding them didn’t keep them in order as I had them. How much would it cost to buy a diag tool that would do the job? It’s something that could be used time after time. Thanks John

    White smoke

Hi Jim5 thanks for the reply. White smoke all the time. On startup just a little put when you put the throttle down a lot. If you let it tick over it’s only a small amount but every 30 seconds or so it changes to a larger amount then back to small.

    White smoke

Hi Discodevon thanks for the reply. I followed the website (www.discovery2.co.uk / TD5 Engine - Injector Seal Replacement) and used Bearmach parts. The only thing that confused me was the refit of the rocker shaft. The tightening down of the adjusting screw until you feel the injector plunger...

    White smoke

Going by some of the threads on this, its looking like an issue with the fuel injectors? That would explain me trying to clean them and went overboard as usual. Any thoughts?

    Viscous fan or electric?

Thanks all for the help on what type of fan to use. Looks like the viscous fan wins so will spend the money I’ve saved up to change it and buy a performance intercooler for the 200tdi instead
