When I saw the cost of a genuine seal, I made my own with a camping/roll mat.

Yep, came from inside the engine, attached to the magnetic sump plug along with the usual swarft.

Doing an oil change on my landy. 2.5 petrol, and this was attached to the sump plug, any ideas?

Does it run ok with that carb on it?

I used tiger seal, can be removed with a hot air gun if needed.

Gearbox was working fine and still is.
Can I check the to see where the pin is missing without taking out gearbox?

Drained the oil out of my mates 110-lt77.
And this was on the drainplug- any idea what it is?

Update.
It was a tooth out, took bloody ages to get it right, had it set up perfect, wound it over a few times-tooth out!
Anyway, got it right in the end, and started 1st time!

Is there any reason that I cannot start it briefly once the belt is on, before I fit the timing cover/waterpump/rad?

After watching that video, I reckon i'm a tooth out.
Had a read on the net, and it seems that being 1 tooth out can make all the difference.
Will strip it down tommorow and have a look.
