I would still go for cleaning the sockets with heptane. Brakecleaner is usually the same thing. As I live in sweden I had to google for a while to find the english name for it. You can find it as white gas, white gazoline or pure benzin.
Put some in a jar and submerge the sockets for a while...

cleaned it and sealed it. The sockets on the injectors have a rubber seal, when that is exposed to engine oil it get swollen and doesnt fit very good. then the oil is creaping in to the cable and away.

I got the oil out by soaking the sockets in heptane. I buy it from the paintshop. Heptane is very good as degreaser and dry out very fast. after I cleaned the injector loom and the socket close to it I sealed all cables with blue permatex.

Looking at removing the egr valve on my TD5 -04 and found alot of stuff there. Its not the simple thing but the EGR type 2 that should meet EU3 regulations. Egr cooler etc.:eek:
Is there someone that tested this, what happened to the control system?
