Freelander 1 2002 ES 1.8L PETROL. POWER FOLD MIRRORS FAULT.

Cheers for that matey, I'll have a mooch and see if I can find it. I'll have to print it off once I've found it. As for removing the control stick / switch on the dashboard for the mirrors, do I just pull the lever towards me and the whole of the square section comes with it? Just thought I'd...

Like the sound of it being easy Nodge68. Don't think I'll be touching any wiring though, knowing my luck, I'll short something, or set the car on fire!!! lol. Is the modification listed anywhere on this forum? I'm interested now as to how easy it would be to do. Cheers Mate.

Thanks Terr. Sounds like a handy little modification to connect them to the door locks. At least that way, you don't have to remember to fold them in manually. Maybe something to look into once I've established my fault. Great stuff, Thanks again.

Freelander 1 2002 ES 1.8L PETROL. POWER FOLD MIRRORS FAULT.

Cheers Nodge68, much appreciated. Process of elimination then, thought as much. I thought the car was possessed at one point, you can lock it up, go in the house, and look through the window, and after a minute or two, you see the mirrors fold in on their own. It's bizzare! lol. Thanks again...

Thanks Terr. Dya mean just to stop them moving on their own, or could this reset them? Thanks mate.

Freelander 1 2002 ES 1.8L PETROL. POWER FOLD MIRRORS FAULT.

Hi Ya'll. Just wondering if anyone could help me with this problem. I've looked on the FAQ section, but all I can find is "How to replace manual mirrors with power fold ones." Initially, I've only just found out that the exterior mirrors are actually power fold types. Yesterday, I woke to...

    Rear door regulator fix

Top Banana. Cheers DannyTD4, I'll have a squiz at those in Halfords this week, and let you know how I get on with the cables too. Half the battle is that I am not electronically minded wiring wise, I've never had the need to be, but I'm determined to learn as much as I can as I am sick of...

    Rear door regulator fix

Sounds like a plan! I started off with my Should's, Would's and Could's. Once I've done all my Should's, my Would's become my Should's and Could's become my Would's. I think I'll shove it in my Could's pile. lol

    Rear door regulator fix

Too right Alibro, I didn't even know there was one there as it's tucked away on the slope of the headlining! It's only when I gave someone a lift home the other week at night time, they got in the back and started moaning that they couldn't see anything when putting their seatbelt on. It's done...

    Rear door regulator fix

Cables ordered DannyTD4, can't wait for them to get here now. Hopefully all will go smooth. Just one other thing is really starting to do my swede in now, its the dreaded rear courtesy light. Front courtesy light, map reading lights, boot light and vanity lights on mirror all work great. I'm...

    Rear door regulator fix

Thanks for the heads up DannyTD4. I've been looking at a few of those kits on ebay, all various prices, but looking at them, pretty much the same thing. I know a few people who have bought them, only to say that they've gone again a fortnight later. It sounds like you've managed to obtain...

Freelander 1 2 cosmetic questions, one engine related.

Hmm, a bit of a dilemma. Spoke to a guy in a local place today regarding trying to get the rear bumper black again, and as soon as he spotted where a previous owner has spilled excess petrol down the bumper and its turned into like a bleached look, he said, "you can't do anything with that...
