Dave, are the manual and auto transfer boxes interchangeable, or is it auto for auto and manual for manual? Spoke to him an hour ago, he's cracked an axle.......:violent::hysterically_laughi

told him to buy a v8. he would still have needed to throw a couple of turbos at it if he expects to live with me but he doesn't get 'weather/ferkin cold' issues, first it giveth then they taketh away....:o

thanks dave, I know about the gearing but the different t/box ratios were unknown to me, so thanks for that.hes not insensitive, he just can't keep up with my 86 KX500! Much obliged......

Would like to say hi to everyone, my friend has the above disco (i'm a moto x guy myself but do the spannering) and he uses it only as an offroad toy. has a bodylift and big shoes, auto tranny, but he keeps busting transfer boxes. what I would like help with is as I dont know discos' like bikes...
