Need to replace mu P38 Radiator..any help with type

Hi, I'm guessing from your post that you've got a diesel ? The two fittings at the bottom of the radiator are not aircon. They are the gearbox oil cooler for the manual gearbox. The auto version has an auxiliary cooler in the left hand wheel arch instead. A lot of places seem to sell the manual...

    P38 Harmon Kardon Speakers

Hi, My bass speaker has failed as well in the front door so i've been looking around. The part number is AMR6357 and they are about £40 + VAT from a LR dealer. Not sure what the specs are if you wanted an aftermarket version. From memory I don't think it says on the speaker, although it is a...

    Wheel bearing

Thanks all for the info. Will try swapping the wheels round first to see if that's the issue. Will also check the VCU whilst i'm at it. I've checked discs and pads and all look ok at the moment. Thanks Irishrover, will pm you now... Rick.

    Wheel bearing

Thanks for reply. There is a bit of tyre wear on the edges but same both sides. Not too sure how best to test that. I guess if I either pump the tyres up more or deflate them a bit then the noise should change if that's the problem?

    Wheel bearing

Hi all, I'm getting a rumble from my P38a diesel auto at around 30mph and 60mph which sounds like a wheel bearing has gone or is on it's way. It gets worse when I go round a right hand corner so i've deduced it's a left hand side bearing as they will be loaded up on a right hand corner. It...

    L322 coolant question

Hmm I wouldn't believe the Comma website over the LR dealer workshop information. It's definitely BASF G48, Texaco AFC (their version), or Glacelf MDX (BASF G48 re-badged). The LR part numbers are PDA500300 for 1 litre which is £7.06+vat or PDA500310 for 5 litres which is £28.20+vat You...

    L322 coolant question

My info is from the latest LR dealer system that replaced rave. Range Rover deffo didn't get the pink oat coolant until 06MY when the jag engines went in. The BMW petrols are still serviced using the blue/green g48.

    L322 coolant question

They do have a comma coolant on the website you linked to that is called Glysantin G48 so it's probably a rebadged version of BASF Glysantin G48. It's... COMMA - Xstream G48 Antifreeze - 5 Litre - 5L :: £15.92 :: Oil, Lubrication, Fluids & Liquid Additives :: COMMA - Oil, Cleaners, Additives...

    L322 coolant question

Hi, Not sure where you've seen OAT as the latest version of the L322 workshop manual specifies.... All approved anti-freezes are ethylene glycol based (containing no methanol) with silicate non-phosphate corrosion inhibitors, to protect the cooling system Arteco Glacelf MDX Castrol NF...

2 leaks for me please? RR 2.5DSE 1996

Hi, When I did my transmission oil pipes I stripped the thread off the aluminium cooler and had to fork out for a new one. So when I did my engine oil cooler pipes I lifted the cooler up out of position whilst still connected to the pipes and then using a dremel I cut carefully through each...

    E.A.S. in freezing weather

I've got the same issue, as have a few others. I replaced my seal with the Dutch effort a few months ago but since the cold weather it's been taking ages to rise. I took the compressor apart again and found the nearly new Dutch seal is not making full contact inside the bore any more. It's...

    Odd P38 EAS problem!

Yep that's the same as mine then. I've just ordered a different one from fleabay, this time from a UK manufacturer. It's yellow in the picture so I guess potentially a different (hopefully better) material than the grey one from the Dutch. Will keep you posted on how good it is once it arrives...

    EAS emergency inflation valves

I think the money would be better spent on a new compressor seal. Mine has been struggling in the cold despite having fitted a new seal from the Dutch place a few months back. Stripped it this week and found the seal has gone quite hard and doesn't make full contact with the circumference of the...

    Odd P38 EAS problem!

Hi all, Unsurprisingly I now have exactly the same problem ! I replaced my piston seal a couple of months back and all was ok initially. But it got gradually worse at inflating especially in the cold, and today I got the air supply fault message. Put my finger over the inlet (with filter...
