Made a floor, sort of wish I made it in 1 bit but couldn't get it in there and didn’t want to cut the floor out before hand.
Just mean a bit more welding.
The extension was due to changes to the rolling 40 year exemption for vehicle excise duty.
An unintended consequence of the change was black & silver plates being able to be displayed on post 1/1/73 vehicles.
The latest change stops other than...
all good advice. cheers. I'm a practical person but sometimes it's worth asking and reminding ourselves that you may do more harm than good. I'll stick to towing people out of puddles instead in the future.
You could be right.
There's quite a few on the other forums using these new Defenders for serious Overlanding particularly in the USA and Australia. And the steel wheels are really the only choice.
lt's a shame these wheels don't fit the old...
Hi Knappster,
Thank you so much for your welcome message and speedy reply!
That feels very welcoming 😁
Yes, a picture of that fabric would be helpful wouldn’t it? Doh!
I was just surfing the net to see if I could find any and decided to join the...
In years to come, when the new defender is more affordable, the steel wheels will likely become more sought after like wolf wheels are now. Best buy a few more sets whilst they’re cheap… 🤔😉
Top tip is let them conenct the two strop to their car.
If you are not sure where to connect to to your car you have to ask yourself, should I be trying to tow anyboy?
Lots on eBay and in the suppliers in various magazines. Make sure you get a decent rated one and not a motor spares store one. A couple of decent shackles too would be useful.
Saw a set for £1k, is that a good deal now?
Also saw a set for £650 which is better, needed blasting though.
Son bought a military bumper, I bought nothing.
There was a lot less stalls than the last time I went a couple of years ago.
I did see several decent winch bumpers plus the usual tubular ones. There were several sets of 130 rims for reasonable prices but i was in Mrs K’s golf so they will have to wait. I’ll take the 90 in October…
long time queuing , seemed allot more people there and allot more non Landy stuff but still got some bits n bobs and a good day looking round all in all
Hi, I've been looking for about 3 yrs now & couldn't believe my luck £10 for the lamps ( the same for the arms). I had one reflector that was shot when I got my D2 so at last I can make a good set. I think any 7" H1 reflector/lens will fit the...
Yep, got there at 09.15 (pre booked) queued from the top of the field & didn't realise I was in the 'cash' queue until the queues merged . Picked up two D2 fr. radius arms, luckily de-bushed, as I've got poly bushes to go in & a couple...
I have finally managed to wire up my washer jet!
They have never worked since I purchased the 90 and gave up chasing the old wiring so repurposed some redundant rear light wiring and connected the pump to one of the vacant switches.
Hey presto...
Week later aircon is still ice cold! 😄 so very happy with my choice to DIY.
Then noticed the water drain pipe for the AC is well, missing. So its just dripping into the footwell, easy fix tho!
MOT tomorrow so few pre MOT checks, nothing...
A cheap day out this time. Lots more non Landy tat for sale than usual, with lots of antiques and junk. I bought a couple of tools for £10. I had a chat with Neil, the former LRO editor and saw @dag019 110 in the car park.
The queue to get in...
Personally, I’d stick with the legal plates. Just because someone else has had a warning or police have turned a blind eye doesn’t mean it will happen to you.
