    Thanks very much for your suggestions! I have no diagnostic, yet - but would at this stage and experience - exclude a worn turbo. The vehicle actually pulls away very nicely, indeed - but not below (exactly) 1500 rpm.

    Hi, I am new to a 2013 Freelander 2 TD4 GS, 96k miles. I note that the turbo only kicks in @ 1500 revs - below that the car is accelerating hardly at all.* Is this normal??? * In comparison my previous 2007 HONDA CRV 2.2 TD, 115k miles, would pull away happily from 1000 revs.
