We live in EX16, so I'd like to think we could come by. Assuming the FL2 doesnt go into limp mode too many times on the way there!
If I tow it there with the 110, will the 110 get firebombed when I arrive? : )
Ha. Like it, although I'd just like to say, I think the double cup holders on the dash of the facelift FL1 are the best cup holders in any car I've ever had. Very secure and accept decent sized drinks recepticles, and they are not flimsy fiddly...
The only differences are the additional sensor to measure temperature of the intake after the intercooler, but you simply use your sensor.
Auto and manual engines had different injectors, and autos got EGR coolers too.
Otherwise they're the same.
When cold, the Jatco does hold the lower gears for longer than normal. Sometimes, on occasion, for quite a bit longer than it really feels it should. Are you sure it's not just this?
I had a delayed 4th gear and a bang when it did go into 4th. That was a sticking high clutch seal.
Yours sounds more electrical. Pscan device aĺlows you to monitor the solenoids while driving and log the state so that you can see what is happening.
The vac bags are a good call - we have them somewhere (never used 🙄).
I think the OP is doing a ‘round trip’, as opposed to one way, but those seats are a pain to ‘store’!
This is also helpful @Stance - It reminds me to anchor cargo nets in layers to the structure to keep the contents in place. In Germany, one of my pass throughs, the police issue on the spot fines for poor loading internally. I recall seeing an...
THANKYOU @Bife - those photos are incredibly helpful. I appreciate that you took the time to photograph and share. To see that space (in)directly is super. I can put the emergency and daily need items in the footwell under the board.
BONUS...
If you need as much space as poss then take out the seats, get yourself some of those vac bags for soft stuff, they save a huge amount of space.
Dont forget you have to go back for your seats :).

I have converted my 5dr to a van and it's so practical for hauling large dogs of course but all kinds of stuff. The floor will handle heavy stuff. If you think about how much the rear seat and 2 or 3 persons + their stuff in the rear compartment...
If you are interested, I can go and measure the dimensions (although mine is a 2001 FL1 Td4, not a facelift so maybe the centre console etc is not the same, so dimensions you would need wouldn’t be exactly same?) Not rocket science tho.
True but a few things that count against that for me, I don't have a roof rack and its household items that will need to be kept dry. I have a 2800km return and security is important, hence locked inside the hippo.
Thanks @Arctic2 and @Freddie, I had them folded down last year when moving from Austria to Hungary, then back to France. I felt I would have a “flatter” and larger space but your comments have been helpful. I’m pondering on it all now 🤔.
I took the rear seats out of my old F1 for a bit, thinking it would give the dog (and me) a lot more space. In reality, it’s a right pain, as @Arctic2 says, you just gain the footwells, but of course it creates a big ‘gap’ between the bed of the...
The seats folded make a flat bed in the back, which i think is going to be much safer, and i doubt you will gain that much room because you will only be losing the footwell space the seats fold into?
I shall be travelling to Hungary from NW France to collect a lot of household items. I am planning on removing the rear seats to make better use of the load space.
Is there a floor reinforcement panel in the commercial variant to distribute...
Hi,
I solved this and it was so simple, I'd like to share
1. Get a cigar lighter Bluetooth FM transmitter (15 quid) and pair phone with it, leave it on 98.5 (I think, the default frequency anyway)
2. Disconnect aerial from back of radio to avoid...
