Personally, if it's going well I wouldn't touch the mechanics, still relatively low mileage and you're probably driving it sensibly so in theory, good for the same again. Bodywork is where I'd be watching.

Thanks, I must admit I was on a Defender tour towards the end of production (2016?) and enjoyed it. I wish I'd ordered one of the run out models to lock away. We'll probably book Solihull.

I'll be going with friends to a classic car show near Northampton in July. We're thinking of visiting Gaydon on the way from the Holyhead ferry, or perhaps a tour of a LR factory in Liverpool or Solihull. Anyone been on one of these tours...

Go into some of the scrap car collection sites. I've just checked on a D1, £387 collected and that's That will give you a starting point.

Under the panel under your steering wheel there’s satellite fuse box. Should be labelled on the back of the panel mate. Got a little box strapped to it called your MFU which controls courtesy light timings etc

Excuse my lack of knowledge, where is this fuse? So far I've never had any issues with my auto so I know little apart from how to drive it.

I dont have personal experience but Freelanders seem to have a pretty good reputation. The early models seem to be more resistant to serious rust. Need to watch for 4wd problems.
