Battery, had it before parked up all night start in morning no problem but leave boot open for 10 minutes and no start, you need to get it checked out.

all well and good, but a lot is down to opinion (and subsequently experience) of the tester.. one mans advisory is another mans fail. tolerances in older cars arent the same as modern cars.
if you've only ever seen modern, you'll fail an old car...

If you have a charger, put the battery on charge for 24 hours, you may find some of your problems then disappear. The P38 needs a lot of power. They do not like batteries going flat.

If it went down one of the oil returns, chances are it's in the sump ? From that angle, my bet would be it bounced on chassis or drive shafts & is lodged or stuck to an oily bit below. If it hit the ground it could have bounced anywhere...
