Thanks for the comment. I considered that but I would need to get the existing ones bead blasted or something as they are in a right state. New ones only cost about £59 each so I thought I would save some time and effort. Hopefully they don’t come in a blue box tho.

They are not vented discs. But from your comment I take it there are two different disc sizes for solid discs. I have ordered parts online so fingers crossed they are the right ones.

Hi all, I have a 1991 defender 200 tdi that needs new discs and callipers. I noticed that the axle number on the front is 77L0####A, which appears to be off a 1995 Discovery. Are the discs and callipers the same for the defender and disco? Many thanks in advance.

Hi folks, As stated in the title do I fit the rubber o-ring on the thermostat or not for my model/year of defender? I have heard mention that this is for the 300 tdi but it came fitted on the new stat with the correct part code for my landy. Thanks. ERR2803

Cheers for that. I have taken the new slave cylinder back off and recovered the rod but it appears that the metal plunger and rubber seal have disappeared into the housing somewhere. I have tried fishing it out but I can’t even find it.

Having just try to replace the slave clutch cylinder, the push rod came away from the gearbox housing with the old cylinder. Is there anyway of fixing this without taking the gearbox out?

whats reasonable for a B service for my 2014 defender? Land Rover want £556 which is a bit over the top for 3 hours work. Surely you can get a good service for half that at an Indi garage using proper parts.

Perhaps you would like a couple of plod to stand outside your house all day to save you locking the front door. Why not accept you have a responsibility to protect your own property to prevent theft in the first place, or maybe you want someone else to do that for you as well.
