    thanks mate and all on the forum for your suggestions my mate who will be doing the job has all the kit for removing the engine.i think this may be the way to go to replace the clutch

    is it easier to remove the engine or to remove the floor and drop the gear box etc when working on the clutch ie replacing complete clutch on my defender 90 2.5 turbo diesilthe clutch is now slipping and needs replaced :welcome2:
