Haven’t noticed it in 4th. Usually around 50-60 mph. But only when towing caravan never solo.

Update. I have ruled out the compressor for rear suspension. Having towed caravan for about 15miles the noise started again and it’s definitely from gearbox area. I have posted 2 videos on YouTube if anyone can have a listen and any advise greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys. Yesterday I went to a local 4x4 garage ( the sort with old landy’s all over the place ) and played them a recording of the noise. There immediate reaction was it’s the compressor for rear airbags kicking in as caravan bounces behind car.

Yes it does inflate when ignition is turned on. I can also raise it and lower it with off road button. What would need replacing in compressor?
