All the 300 discos have plastic tanks. I had one for years, and, at the end of its life, it was parked up in a field. The rodents nested in the air filter, and ****ed all down the ducting to the turbo vanes, but didnt touch the fuel tank, or nylon lines.

Even the 300tdi era tanks have, I think, 4ba, along with metric.

you dont actually say what tank youre working with, or what build? normally, you would work out the tank part number, and then look up on the jaguar landrover site, but theres a bit of a gap in series parts there - you may well find that your tank is used in listed builds though -...

The heater wouldn't get hot in my 300. I pulled the stat core and put it in a pan - it would open at far too cool a temperature. I replaced the core with whatever britpart one was going at the time, and my heater worked fine again.

If you use stands off the chassis, does it matter if the axel moves? Its position is controlled by the arms so, when you refit them, the position will be regained. You may need some force to move the axel on refitting but it's not going to be beyond ability. What I mean is, you're not trying...

Ps they do them as a kit also, iirc. You get the Allen cap hub fasteners, which allow you more flexibility with alloys, and some other bits.

Yep, but.. You need to make sure they match up with your age of half shafts (spline number) so don't just buy the exact ones linked to, as that may not be the right code. Getting the seal out of the rear axel isn't complex but it's not a 5 min job. Brake calipers, stub axel etc need to come...

You can get the ashcroft / terrafirma screw on ones also, and remove the half shaft seal on the rears, for oil lubricated bearings.

As i remember, it wasnt getting the bearing in that was the issue, but the circlip that holds it in place. It was years ago, but, im pretty sure, i just pushed the bearing in with a vice and a drift (probably a socket of some size). But i had no special tool to get the circlip in or out, so, i...
