1986 90 pickup Originally
Now has galvanised, modified disco chassis, 200tdi engine, disco front axle and hardtop. Some of the frame and interior still looks original :)
-
Inside very slick, never seen a muddy boot or a river of water from a bodywork leak ;-)
-
Cheers guys, shoes are fine 90 ones only have 1 lug so only fit one way :D
-
Thanks James, all makes a bit more sense now.
Will order up some replacements and get myself acquainted with a grinder :D

Ok, before anyone asks spent most of last night with Uncle Google and found no answers so here goes. :)
I have just replaced the brake shoes on my rear drum brakes and noticed the brake adjusters are completely seized. 2 questions:
1 - What is the best way to get them off to replace them...

Ohh yes, very nice :) Must have been a lot of work. Unfortunately top of my list just now is brakes and rear shocks, some long cold winter nights before I get to play with wires.

So what is the advice here, bushes are on my list as the rear shock ones are fairly worn. Trying to decide between replacing bushes or getting new Terrafirma shocks with bushes provided?
-
All,
Just a quick update and thanks for all your advice and help, have followed all your advice to no avail.
Managed to get in touch with the previous owner (only bought Landy last month) he told me starter had been replaced just before he sold it to me, phoned garage and mechanic says...

Also have EBC green stuff (although not fitted yet), Landy used for towing mostly so no trouble warming up with 2.5 tonne horse box and 2 700kg horses pushing from the rear. :D
-
Thanks All,
Will have another crawl around tomorrow and see if I can find it, great fun this :D
-
Thanks Vissie :D
Ok, have managed to find the time to have another look around.
Earth to transmission seems fine, did not take it of as I am not a child with 4' arms ;)
Took fusebox off again, all connections seem to be ok.
Guess my last resort before I give up on any part time...
-
Thanks, will try all of the above when I get home tonight. Bought Landrover to tow a horsebox, already getting it it the ear from the Mrs for putting it out of commision!
