We bought ours private and didn't know the ird was faulty. It eventually failed 5 weeks later. Never had one before as such so didn't know better. Got a great engine in it too so it's a shame really.

I found it ok in general but i seriously wouldn't advise it winter. I'd have mine back as 4wd tomorrow but it needs an ird and they are too expensive

They wanted the best part of |£600 to insure my td4 with no prop on and maximum NCB. Had to turn it down.

Hi thanks. I've looked on line at what you put and it's exactly that thanks. There's only one scrivet holding the tank in place and the one in has seen way better days.

Right so I've replaced the tank and it seemed to go ok. Just a couple of questions. 1/ The bottle fits fine but was surprised that there's no real way of securing it besides the twist in to place and the plastic screw. Is that Left? 2/ The plastic screw on the left hand side is a mess It's the...

It looks like it's coming from the top or bottom of the coolant tank. I noticed this when i took a couple of photos... Will changing the tank solve it and is there a seal or something that goes at the bottom? Thanks again

Ok thanks. Thought they'd all be around the same size. Is there a reason jubilee clips aren't used?

That's the ones. Gonna get a couple of those in, just in case the others break while i'm changing the tank. Just googled what you put to be sure. Cheers

Started losing coolant about 3 weeks ago. It's never overheated and there's no contamination in the oil or the expansion tank. There are the usual small cracks on the tank around where the cap goes but having cleaned the bottle, i can not see a trace of coolant there. I've checked the pipes and...

My Freelander has a rattle/vibration. It seems to be coming from the rear window but that looks pretty snug. Any ideas please
