So guys, finally got the thing back together
I’ve done the head gasket but It won’t start on its own. It’ll start on easy start and idle fine but revs very slowly and not past 2000rpm.
I’m wondering about the correct fuel pressure?
What range should it be with engine off and also engine...

Finally found a free day to get back to the Disco.....didn’t quite finish.....a couple more hours and I’ll be ready to turn the key. That’ll be an anxious moment.

I’ve just had it confirmed as the gearbox and transfer case breathers.

Well I don’t remember disconnecting them....so possibly, I guess.....I just need some clarity before I stick the head on and limit the space.

So I wanted to refit the head today when I spotted these.
There’s two that come out at the back of the engine.... looks like I’ve broken one somehow.
Any idea guys?

While I’m waiting for bits I will remove the injectors on the other head and crank by hand .... the head and the block seem dead straight to me, and I can see no indication of cracking in the head.

So the head has writing on it and a gasket with 5 notches on it.....I’m thinking that it’s a second hand head, maybe skimmed with a thicker gasket?
I can get hold of a known good head for £100 from a Disco 4 (cheaper than having this one tested?)....if I went that route what gasket would I get...

The head seams to be dead flat, I’m thinking rub it down and refit it . Any advice?
