Noise is pretty subjective.... :-) I thought it was noisy, but I have a reasonably refined v8 County... Bit then I'm fussy and can hear the totally rebuilt 1.4 (with brand new gears) that replaced it whining.... If it was a diesel then you prob wouldnt notice it so much.... It wasnt knackered...

You'd need to drop the transfer box, split the case, swap the gears out and retension the bearings and put it back together... It's not really rocket science but a bit more than a 10 minute job... :)

Hi, I bought a Donaldson filter and housing for my v8, but it's slightly too large to fit in the space due to the other gubbins around it... My EDIS coils are on the back of the head on my v8, and the MS / EDIS controller are on the firewall - with a more standard setup it would probably fit...

LT230, 1.4 ratio. 13D serial number. Fitted with a new ashcroft input gear, input seal & input bearings and oil feed plate. It whines a bit but all works OK - £120 ono Ashcroft 1.2 'Quiet' gearset for the LT230. Came out of my transfer box when I swapped back to 1.4 ratios. Ran very quietly...

I think most 110's came with a 1.4 as standard... Let me know again when it's removed - if I've not sorted something in the mean time I'll be interested :)

Hi A 1.4? How much would you want for it? I worked out the ratios properly last night and I think a 1.6 would be slightly too low geared for what I want... Cheers Jon

A 1.667 from a NAD 110 may be an option as well...
