I must admit the thought did go through my mind! A smear of black silicone 🤫 Thanks for all the feedback, will sleep on it and look at the various options later on.

    Cracking new shock absorber bushes

Agreed, the annoying part about this is that they came from a reputable supplier, I tend to use only the likes of Paddocks/Island/Craddocks etc, they certainly weren't genuine but I would have thought a decent quality aftermarket.

    Cracking new shock absorber bushes

Evening All, I have an issue with cracking front lower shock absorber bushes on my early 90. I am currently restoring it & these were fitted new about 18 months ago, not on the road yet so obviously not had any use yet. I noticed today there are cracks in them, surely this can't be right? The...

    1985-Ninety Front Brake question

Thanks everyone, I think I know where I am going with this lot now. Just the issue with the MC now. Your recommendation was to change it for a 110 MC , is it NRC 8690 pre TDI up to 1991 110 MC ? Out of interest how would the brakes perform if I didn't change the MC? Can I keep the old (but...

Rear brakes...

Morning folks At Malvern the weekend I was lucky to drop on a set of front discs / hubs etc and a pair of calipers. All about 6 months old & in great condition. Unfortunately they are for a 1986 on Ninety, mine is a 1985 and the calipers are certainly different but I don’t know about the hubs...

    What are these brackets?

Morning all. I am doing various jobs on my 1985 90 including new fuel tank, bits of chassis to weld, seat box ends, battery box etc. To make access easier I removed the sill rail as I worked on each side. I removed the pictured brackets from the sill rail area (they appear to be handed) but I...
