Lift rods work ok but limit how much extended off road height is available as you have already used 50mm of the available travel. Same result can be achieved using a gap tool to increase the suspension either permanently or as and when it’s...
Glencoyne sell the best ones in my opinion. Avoid the bearmach ones , I fitted them and had vibrations throughout the car, swapped immediately for Glencoyne and problem resolved , been fitted years now and after plenty of hard off roading still...
I’ve got the electronic locking rear differential fitted on mine.
It seems to work a lot of the time even in on road situations, also sometimes it doesn’t fully lock as the computer sees fit, in rock crawl and mud and ruts it fully locks.
I fitted the turner engineering performance head to my 200 recently, it only adds 8-10hp but drive ability is much nicer with quicker pick up and stronger mid range.
The new Defender also had to be a marketing success in USA which the old one wasn’t as that’s a major Land Rover market, the old Defender simply didn’t sell enough units even in Europe to be viable.
Grenadier have tried going down that route and...
I agree with all of the above, which is why after putting many thousands of pounds into renovating my 200tdi , I have also have a new defender. Sometimes you need something that gets you where you want to go without rattling , that can integrate...
Either D4orD5 can’t remember which has a known issue with one the bonnet catches sticking so allowing the bonnet to open slightly, this would be enough to trigger the alarm.
I had it happen on one of mine but I change cars that often i can’t...
I’ve test driven them, do you always call people mental who don’t agree with your opinion?
You seem to enjoy following me around the forum trying to alter my perceptions, news for you it ain’t going to work
Yeah I’ve seen the debate on the other forum. My thoughts on the grenadier are it’s too late to the party. If it was available a couple of years before the new defender was launched it may of been an option, but I have a 200tdi 90 if I want to...
I’ve done close on 6000 miles since getting my 110.
Got some bigger tyres with smaller rims on it, oh and I’ve fitted the lucky 8 winch mount. I prefer the discreet look of the winch compared to the plastic bulbar on land rovers
A friend of mine swapped his 300tdi 90 for the 3 door model, 23plate brand new, he said it’s the most frightening vehicle he’s been in, at 60mph on the motorway it was all over the place, he went back with it and it was checked out by dealer...
Turn off your comfort access in the settings menu, no codes to scan so no faraday pouch required. Land Rover has just upgraded the security on the defenders with a software upgrade.
No mention of D3 in the ops post, he just asking about retro fitting the parts from a donor D2 TB with the internals, to the TB on his D2 which isn't fitted with the necessary 'bits'. As far as I know the TB boxes diesel or petrol are the same...
I’ve swapped nose cone on a D2 diesel, easy enough to do approximately 2 hours with the box on the car. I think there’s instructions on Ashcroft Transmissions website.
Early days yet but car is quieter at tick over and feels smoother on the road, seems to pick up better but it’s not making it a sports car. Maybe it’s a bit more refined now 😂
