Hi Ctypejag,it might be well worth checking your fuel cap on your land rover.make sure it is a vented cap,and not creating a vacum when half way,you could also check the sediment filter inside the diesel tank.Hope this is the cure to your problem.Jimthebeast

regarding bad starting,you did check the starter you purchased was ok. Check also starting ring for wear good luck. Jimthebeast
