2010 freelander 2, manual, juddering when setting off and dropping gears, been off road today clutch got very stinky, possibly cooked it?

Yeah, once warm it stops. I'm assuming it's a drive belt

It's only happening when cold, you can't hear it when revving or driving, so noise isn't increasing. Once the cars warm it stops altogether, it's a repetitive squelching sort of noise, strange.

Hi all, my 2010 freelander makes a strange squelching noise when cold, sounds like it's coming from the drivers side at the back of the engine. I can hear it clearly from the drivers side front wheel arch. When it warms up it goes. Any thoughts? Cheers
