    smokey '92 200tdi disco (160k)

    My disco smokes somewhat. Particularly when it starts from cold. Come to think of it, it's starting to turn over for a while before springing in to life. Once started, if i floor it the noise gets a bit louder but revs dont increase for a few seconds. Sounds like it's only firing on 3...

    The easiest tell tale for me is the door handles. square flappy paddles flush with the door skin = 200tdi Banana-shaped handles bolted to the door at each end (if you use your imagination) = 300tdi onwards Jeff
