Soz Slob, When we're rattling along dipping the clutch doesn't stop it. But stranglely it does seem to get slightly faster as overall speed builds up, which contradicts statement 1 don't in? Still think clutch release could be worth looking at? Many thanks.

Ladies/Gents, Its been getting worse recently, but not when driving from cold, as the motor heats up it progresses until almost a constant rattle is heard. The kind of grinding-rattle that sounds a lot like 2 gears turning against each other but not quite connecting. Happens in all gears...

:eek: We all know that drum brakes aren't up to stopping much, least of all when you're towing. I want to pull my speedboat behind my 1960 SII but would like to upgrade to discs at the front at least. Anyone know where I can get a fairly easy-to-do-yourself upgrade kit? Cheers.

Doing a little towing the other day, my 1960 SII '88 developed a loud "Clunking " from the direction of the gearbox/front diff area. It first started whilst labouring up a steep hill, is not so bad with gentle throttle, but gets worse with more throttle, and is present in all gears. Anyone got...
