    Weird electrical fault

    Hi every now and then when driving or parked i get an odd thing happen, its like all electrical power is cut for just a brief second. The speedo will drop to zero, the stereo will go off and all lights go off, every electrical item looses power for a split second.... Anyone have any ideas...

    Just bought my first disco.

    Having got under the car, i can see oil coming from the gasket between the vacuum pump and the engine block. Im going to take the vacuum pump off and replace the gasket to see if that cures the tapping noise as im assuming if oil is leaking out then air is getting in and making it noisy. How...

    Just bought my first disco.

    Have been out and had a look at the brake vacuum pump, its a britpart one i believe. Are these any good? My suspicion is that this is the culprit for the tapping noise, i have also noticed the egr has been removed, were would the brake vacuum pipe be that needed to be block up be in the engine...
