hi just brought a 90 td5 only 5 years old with 36,000 on the clock put the light on tonight and the fuel and temp back light arnt working :eek:and also on the speedo it looks like their may be more than one bulb out at the moment the speedo looks like the faster you go the more clearly you can...

pull half shafts out (if thier not broken) and then engage 4 wd diff lock and pull forward if anythings broken it will drop into the diff and the diff will lock. happened to me with my defender lost 4wd unless in diff lock pulled the half shafts out and were fine pulled foward and someting...

does anyone know if td5 front brake calipers with fit onto a 1987 90 front axle im pretty sure the mounting points would be the same but dont know if the caliiper has two brake pipes going to it, anyone done this upgrade before or know if they ll fit

been tryin to find one second hand just replaced rear axle a frame joint hand brake rear brake caliper rear shocks so not really want to buy new one 70 odd quid on e bay

ive just fitted the back plate and all compomets of a td5 hand brake ( with the acuator at the bottom alloing with adjustment ,fixed cable coming out of the bottom) it fits on the transferbox but wont fit through the original handbrake bracket on the seat box does any one know of the...

does any one know if a 200tdi disco ,so would assume around early 90s front caliper would fit a 87 90 as i know later rangie ones wont as they have two brake pipes going to them but not sure on disco any help would be grateful

how would the mot bloke look at it

does any one know the size of the copper brake pipes used on 90s defenders as im buying a brake flaring tool and want to make sure im getting the right size chars

low not in diff lock very very useful for reversing trailers espcially up slops as no riding the clutch and very little effort needed. if im correct land rovers only 4wd to have low range without diff lock

yes series screen and roof 110 one was a bit big and rangie wind screen was a bit wide. :doh: no not expecting shut lines like a merc but il settle for not letting water in. sean have you done this before then if so how long do u reckon it took you

excelent so by the sounds of it i have got to loosen the bolts on the end of the outriggers round the bell housing just out of couroisty will i have to drill any holes or reposition any nuts just so when my paticence is tested i dont go drilling holes or get the hammer out thanks for the help
