The guy says it's on springs, if it's not I'll leave it. Used to running an old '85 110 and a 300tdi 90 so know they will go wrong, but usually cheap to fix if it's nothing catastrophic! Just had less experience with a V8. Will check the history and MOT's to see what has been done in past!

Are there particular things you can do to reduce risk of hgf? Or just a case of checking for seaping and replacing every now and then?

When you say hgf what do you mean? Also the ABS light should come on then turn off at 7mph and stay off?

im gettin 27ish from my 110 200tdi, got a roof rack too. mt's would reduce it mind. i know someone who is getting more mpg after fitting a snorkel.... how did you stop fuel cap from leaking btw?
