I remember once there was a series 3 on eBay that had the dash removed because the owner didn't like it. I think it still had the gauges in the same place, but the rest had gone. I thought it looked ok.
So can be done for sure.

And stainless threads love to "pick - up"
Nightmare!!
I am a metal worker and love using stainless for lots of things but not for threads . Be warned they need plenty of lube.

Not done it myself, but I have a vague recollection of reading or watching someone explaining how they very easily removed the spring bushes by first driving a cold chisel under where the leaves wrap around the bush.

The chassis bracket or where it mounts to the axle?
Someone used to sell the chassis part on eBay, can't remember who it was though.....may have been marsland.

I
You are correct, I did not fit these, my project Landy came to me like this. -

I
Near me there's a business that fixes them. He does alternators and starter motors.
Is there no one near you?

I haven't been on here for ages, I have just taken a picture of the fitted bracket for you, I will attempt to upload it.

I thought someone on here may have an idea as to why the prices have risen so much.
I believe steel prices are reasonable at present.
Perhaps due to land rovers being renovated by companies and realising good sale prices.

I remember within the last 12 months looking at Richards chassis' site and dreaming of a new chassis for my 109 station wagon. I'm sure I could have got one for about 1900 all in.
Seems now that the same would cost me about 2600. That's some increase, the dream is fading.

Am I right in thinking that you can't buy genuine series swivels direct from land rover. Or is it that they are too expensive.

I
Or for not alot of money get a new sender, with the fuel pick up built into it. Have a Google.

Still think it's got a 95% chance of no breather syndrome. Look up at your filler neck, the hose yours is returning to should be connected to the filler. You need a new return connection on the tank.
-
I
Aren't those symptoms consistent with a tank that cannot breathe. The pump works fine for a while until a vacuum builds in the tank, until the pump can't overcome the vacuum.
Test with tank on vehicle is to run with the filler cap removed.
Basically, check breather is clear.
Edit.... Looks...

It is normal for the lpg injectors to tick as they open and close. I've been running my pajero v6 on Romano sequential injection for 8 - 9 years and mine have always ticked. Not too loud though.
