update - after a full strip down/ removal and clean up - voila it works again, I left the outside key/barrel disconnected as it was jammed solid, this seemed to be the issue!

also make sure you have bled the coolant properly to avoid any over heating damage, esp in this heat! I have a 200tdi disco that is running perfectly but starts to overheat when going slow off road, so before it gets to the 3/4 bar I am using the heater and rests with the bonnet open in shady...

THE ABS teeth run around the outside of the CV joint, and the sensor which looks at the teeth is fitted through the top Swivel pin.

my Disco is getting better, now that I have got the doors and windows working and fitted new swivels and bearings and fixed the coolant leaks and fitted a new heater/blower. Also the interior is looking fresh after I have gutted it back to the metal work cleaned all the trim and refitted it...

Tesco Swindon have withdrawn it, theirs is £1.58 now, a member of staff said it was a mistake and that it was on the grapeseed oil!

I tested the wires to the central locking unit and it gets 8 volts when I lock/unlock but the unit it not working when I plug it in. should it be getting 12 volts and is this why its not working?

1994 D1 - 5 door rear door electrics demister - working - ohms tested element ok and its getting 8 volts when on number plate lights - Working door open (red) light - Working central locking motor - not working - but motor tested on another door and is fine wiper - not working - not tested yet...

Update... I am getting used to work on it. I have done 210 miles in it since I got it 6 days ago! and today was its first day not going off road since I got it! At first I thought the tracking was out as it was very unstable over 50mph, then at the weekend i got the the tyre pump out found it...

Drivers door fully drop fixed, the hinge shims were way out 5 in the top and one in the bottom was making the door window hit the b pillar near the rain gutter, closing perfect now!

also here it is next to my BMW 750il - i used to think that was a big safe vehicle, but the disco looks like it would drive over it! No wonder I am getting more respect from Other traffic at junctions!
