Beginning to think that with the door switch missing the wires have dropped down and are earthing hence bcu thinks door is open, then after 10 mins it turns it off.
Will go fishing for the offending wire over weekend and see if that cures it.

Wow, nasty, u shud be chuffed that after a process of elimination I ended up in a land rover! (at least for dirty work and off road have lovely new vw 4by for day job, everything works on it! ESP go pedal)

U know how the timer works tho? Have checked Haynes manual and can't see any capacitor or such like in the circuit, it all works, just for too long!

Need interior light as am in and out feeding daughters 4 legged friend in dark farm yard and like to see getting in and putting saddles etc in back, can turn them off at switch but would like to get them working properly.

Can anyone help? I have a 1999 TD5 Defender 90 station wagon and have, after some fiddling got the interior lights to work, but they stay on for at least 5 minutes after closing the door! How is this delay adjusted?
