    CB radio advice

OY, I used a binatone r66 for years, it was a great set, seemed to put out a lot stronger signal than most of the 87fms back in the day, and it cost 17 quid, saw one for £40 on fleabat the other day. We stopped using them cos the whole spectrum got blanketed by what sounded like a warsaw cab...

    what is this?

No, "Over" means, over to you, as in, I am expecting a reply. Out means I have left the conversation.

    what is this?

"over and out" dosent make any sense, "over" means you are expecting a reply, and out means you dont..... As to things being left in cars, a brass pig once fell out of a Formula Ford in the middle of a race.

    Two car insurance.

If you are insuring more than one ordinary car, then churchill for one offer a deal, at least they did. However if one of the cars is valid for classic/low mileage/specialist landrover, etc cover then it still works out cheaper to do it individually

    fuel guage

If I may slightly hijack this thread, the Fuel Guage on my 90 was all over the place, a new sender/float unit sorted the guage but the light stays on most of the time, is there anything else in the system that might benefit from a gentle thwack?

    Hello

No, look, the back box of the exhaust system, erm, of the 90 that is. Gawd, if my back box fell off you would need a HIAB

    Land Rover Camper Vans.

I have a 90 and have been pondering how to rig it for the ocasional night away from home when a tent is too much of a fag, I have read an article in a boat mag about a chap who has rigged his GP 14 (14foot long sailing dingy) with a bed using a slatted bed base from IKEA, This is a lot of wooden...

    Hello

Hi there, I am Ian, been looking round the site for a little while, lots of useful stuff in the forums, just as well as I have recently bought a 90 TDI, and whilst it is, I am assured, in very good nick It needs a few little bits n bobs, but that seems to be common for LRs.......
