Good news - Had the windscreen replaced on insurance today, loads of other chips so needed doing even before the huge crack. Bad news - Screen guy checks the car before starting work ticking off existing damage, wheel arch... OK, drivers door... WHAT! Some sod has hit the car overnight or this...

New battery, bolt was spinning so had to take it to a garage but at least it is now starting. Been an expensive month and my wife is beginning to use the term 'money pit'.

Had the VCU replaced with a reconditioned unit, as my wife put it 'like a different car' but as it was having huge problems going smoothly around corners that didn't surprise me.

All four corners have new tyres, Latitude Cross, the first I have put on it since purchase, they replaced two Pirelli (which were run flats which I have been told were the wrong type) and two Michelin (one of which had half the tread of the other). Now spent too much this month, have to wait...

Think I have finally got the towbar wiring grommet to stay in place, realised the cable comes up directly under the boot trim which was putting enough pressure on the grommet to push it out.

Differing front and back, they have similar wear but I will do a check on the diameters when I am doing work on it Sunday (putting on a towbar).

Ah, OK, thought it may be getting to that time, 100K and no record of the VCU being changed, but was hoping it was just a known tyre issue. Thanks for your help, off to read some more.
