is this not how you do it anyway? You take the hub off to remove an old bearing and press in a new one don't you? So a hub supplied with the bearing already pressed in is the same, you've just cut out the bearing replacing step? Or is this not...

there is also autodoc, this is for the swedish site but there is also a uk side to them as well not sure if they have the part but you can try...
Hey everyone,
one of my rear wheel bearings is on its way out. My next door neighbour is a mechanic and is up for changing it for me. He said he used to be able to get hold of the whole kit with a new bearing already set and ready in a new hub...
If the battery is dropping to 8V when cranking, then it's FUBAR. The battery voltage should hold about 11 Volts, or there won't be sufficient voltage to spin the engine fast enough for a start.
So, new fangled battery tester used. Standard battery test shows the battery is definitely in good order. Rated 500 CCA and test gave well over 600 CCA. The tester also has a start test, and when I ran this the results came back as LOW, basically...
Good advice above regards battery etc.
One other Issue maybe your starter motor. It may have worn starter solenoid inside. There are cheap rebuild kits available to replace the solenoid and contactor components on eBay. I repaired my daughter...
Something interesting has happened though, I decided to clear the codes last night, and as if by magic it has been starting fine since. I suspect this is just coincidence though.
How many CCA is the battery rated to and how many did the tester say it had?
I think as well there is a recommendation to add an additional earthing strap or summat on F2. Presumably though a jump starts would also suffer from any earthing...
I'd be changing the battery first... then go from there.
There are quite a few mentions about the additional earth that @GrumpyGel suggests - guess you could easily check that by using a single jumper lead from your battery neg terminal to...
If a jump start is starting the engine, then the first thing to do is replace the battery with one that can handle the high current requirements of the starter motor. I've seen these engines require over 500 Amps to get rotating, so the battery...
Ok I've been reading as many posts as I can, but I'm still not sure what steps I should take next. If changing glow plugs was a quick job I probably would have just gone for that next but I want some extra confidence that it's worth it after...
