Think youre right Dave, the water pump pully very loose , managed to get belt back on and get it shifted to local garage but it soon came off again.

well went back today, the belt is off but undamaged, its damaged the fan cover. Anyway going to try get it back on tomorrow then get it home to be checked thoroughly, just hope it works as obviously there was a reason why is came off.

1995 300tdi 5 door Auto Got a budgie style squeaking constant from when engine is started and gets faster when I accelerate Had a nose on forum and tried penny trick although it seems not to be getting worse when accelerating its still there. What else can it be ? thanks
