yeah it was for off-roading. I put 25 liters in. Yeah its a little pain to get to. But eventually I'll put the regular tank in. Thanks guys.

In a regular fuel tank the fuel pump would stop automatically when the tank is full. The way this one is set up is completely different. I don't think the pump would stop.

As I've said before, I'm new to the land rover community! I bought a 1986 90 Defender a couple of weeks ago. The guy before me said that the fuel tank is aftermarket. I've tried texting/calling him to ask this but he won't answer.. I don't know how much fuel it holds... I did recall him saying...

Well, we were out there for about 45 minutes in the cold and rain trying to jump it, so I'm guessing the battery might not be the problem. How do I check the earths?

The AA guy said it might be a blocked fuel pump? He tried doing something with one of his batteries but we had no luck. The fuel tank is after market because one of the previous owners used it a lot for off-roading. It has this foam/spongey material in it, I believe its just fire resistant...

I appreciate your help. My buddy's car is small, could that be why it wasn't helping me when he jumped it?

The past three MOT's are perfect. The previous owner has only owned it for a few months but needs a more "family friendly" car. And the guy before him had two landys and could only take one back to the states.
